COLUMBIA, S.C. – Staff from the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control, the Healthy Columbia initiative and the Palmetto Health Triple Aim Project will join with emergency responders to conduct a door-to-door health survey in a Columbia neighborhood, the agency announced today.
This survey will be conducted in the 29203 zip code, gathering information from residents to assist in health planning and policy developments for several health agencies. Staff will be in the area on Wednesday, Sept. 26, and Thursday, Sept. 27. Additional surveys could be conducted on Friday.
Through this survey, DHEC also will be training its staff on health assessments during an emergency. All staff participating in this project will have appropriate identification and will be wearing green DHEC vests.
