COLUMBIA, S.C.- Kestrel Horizons, LLC, current Trustee for the Pinewood Site Custodial Trust ("Trust"), has resigned effective October 31, 2014. As a result, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced today that it is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to solicit information from vendors who are interested in providing Trustee services. The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information from vendors as to the most efficient and cost effective manner in which to fulfill the responsibilities of Trustee in accordance with the terms of the Pinewood Site Custodial Trust Agreement. This RFI is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). DHEC is not seeking to contract with vendors for these services or products at this time. A RFP for Trustee services may be solicited at a future date.
DHEC requests that interested persons review the South Carolina Business Opportunity Solicitation/ RFI #5400008521 at www.scdhec.gov/Pinewood for details. The RFI will extend until October 3, 2014 and information from vendors will be due on that date. Vendors, whose information comprehensively addresses the criteria provided in the RFI, may be invited to present their information to DHEC and other stakeholders during a Public Meeting on October 14, 2014, at the South Carolina Department of Archives and History located at 8301 Parklane Road, Columbia, South Carolina, 29223. The public meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m.
