COLUMBIA, S.C. - The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control will conduct a public meeting Feb. 27, 2014,
at Aiken Technical college in Graniteville to discuss results of sampling performed on Langley Pond.
DHEC has performed extensive environmental assessment to determine the extent of contamination caused by pollution
along Horse Creek from decades ago. The data has shown that the water in Langley Pond remains safe for recreational
use.
The existing fish consumption advisory for the pond remains in effect.
