S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) Watershed Program helps facilitate solutions to water quality issues within the State. The program has traditionally shared extensive water quality data and watershed information through the Watershed Water Quality Assessments (WWQAs). This information is used by a variety of water quality stakeholders. Past assessments were produced every five years for each major basin.
The S.C. Watershed Assessments are now replaced by the NEW S.C. Watershed Atlas.
This web application brings the Agency's comprehensive watershed and water quality information into a user-friendly, statewide map application. This searchable atlas includes watershed descriptions, basemaps, water quality assessments and trends, use support, monitoring sites, permitted facilities, MS4s, TMDLs and much more.
