Board Member - Mark Lutz

Photo of Mark LutzMark Lutz, of Mount Pleasant, is vice president of virtualFactory Inc., a multi-media production company based in Belmont, Massachusetts. The company develops and produces training webinars, DVDs, and CDs for healthcare companies and other clients. To help clients analyze how the training tools are used, the company embeds proprietary tracking software in its products.

Lutz earned a bachelor's degree in neuroscience from Amherst College, in Amherst, Massachusetts. He also holds an MBA in organizational development from Syracuse University, in Syracuse, New York.

Prior to joining virtualFactory Inc., Lutz worked as a program director at Technology Marketing Group Inc., a management consulting firm, helping small, medium and Fortune 500 companies grow their businesses. Earlier in his career, he worked as an account executive for NYNEX Business Centers, a national microcomputer reseller. The company was a subsidiary of a telephone holding company that has since been acquired by Verizon.

Lutz represents Congressional District 1 on the DHEC Board. He was appointed by S.C. Governor Nikki R. Haley.
