South Carolina Board of Health and Environmental Control

Department of Health and Environmental Control created under supervision of Board of Health and Environmental Control.

The board shall consist of seven members, one from each congressional district, and one from the State at large to be appointed by the Governor, upon the advice and consent of the Senate.  The member who is appointed at large shall serve as the chairman of the board.  The terms of the members shall be for four years and until their successors are appointed and qualify.

The South Carolina Board of Health and Environmental Control meets the 2nd Thursday of each month in the Board Room (#3420), SCDHEC, 2600 Bull Street, Columbia, SC.  Meetings are public noticed as required by the Freedom of Information Act and agendas for regular meetings are posted on this Web site one week in advance of the meetings.
