Preparedness Summit Planned
COLUMBIA – The S.C. Hospital Association and the Department of Health and Environmental Control are sponsoring the 2006 Health Resources and Services Administration Program Preparedness Summit on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006. The event will take place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the William Yates Conference Center of the S.C. Hospital Association, located at 1000 Center Point Road, Columbia, S.C.
Hospital and public health personnel from across the state will gather to improve collaboration and communication during emergencies and disasters.
Besides numerous exhibitors, there will also be photo opportunities with the S.C. Med Mobile Medical Facility, Columbia Metropolitan Medical Response System Mass Casualty/Surge Capacity Trailer and the S.C. State Guard Communications Trailer.
A conference organizer will be available for comments from 2 – 3:00 p.m.
Directions: Take I-26 west to exit 106B. Take the first right off the exit and then another right onto Burning Tree Road (frontage road in front of Chuck E. Cheese). Go approximately 1/3 mile and turn left into Center Point onto Center Point Road. Take immediate left and the SCHA building and parking lot will be on your left.
