DHEC’s Region 8 Public Health sets flu clinic for Low Country residents
BEAUFORT – The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control’s Region 8 Public Health will hold an appointment-only influenza vaccination clinic on Nov. 1.
Residents who want to reduce their risk of flu should call for an appointment. Clinics will be conducted by appointment to reduce the likelihood of waiting.
- The first DHEC Region 8 flu shot clinic for the Beaufort area will be held:
Nov. 1, 2006
9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Greene Street Gym, 1001 Hamar Street, Beaufort (corner of Greene and Hamar Streets) - To make an appointment for this clinic:
Call (843) 525-7615 or e-mail FLU1@dhec.sc.gov beginning Oct. 18 after 9 a.m.
Do NOT call the Greene Street Gym for an appointment.

- Please include that residents should not call the Greene Street Gym to make appointments
- There is a $25 charge for the vaccination, which Medicare Part B and Medicaid will cover for those who are eligible. Cash or check payment also will be accepted.
