NOTE TO EDITORS / MEDIA ADVISORY
During an Influenza pandemic, many difficult decisions about medical care will have to be made. Some of these decisions will have a dramatic impact on the lives of South Carolinians, possibly yours.
A coalition of state agencies, healthcare providers and legal professionals wants the public's input as we discuss situations and circumstances that might confront us during a pandemic outbreak in South Carolina. The group’s proposed ethical response plan will be reviewed at these meetings, and the coalition will be seeking public input.
Who: The S.C. Pandemic Influenza Ethics Task Force.
What: Presentations from experts and open discussion.
The public forums will be held in four locations across South Carolina:
