DHEC Earth Day Awards program Wednesday, April 22
COLUMBIA, S.C. – A photo/video opportunity will be available at S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control’s first Earth Day Awards program Wednesday, the agency announced today.
The public and the media are invited to attend this celebration of people and projects that demonstrate true dedication to environmental stewardship in keeping with the spirit of Earth Day.
What: DHEC Earth Day Awards presentation
When: Wednesday, April 22, 2009; 10:30 a.m. - noon
Where: Peeples Auditorium, third floor, DHEC, 2600 Bull St., Columbia, S.C.
Details: Please park in the front lot and request a visitor’s badge at the front desk
Winners will be honored at an awards presentation ceremony that will feature remarks from Commissioner C. Earl Hunter; Bob King, deputy commissioner for Environmental Quality Control (EQC); and several EQC regional directors.
