DHEC’s Colleton County Public Health Department to close early on May 22
WALTERBORO, S.C. – The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control’s Colleton County Public Health Department will close at noon on Friday, May 22, the agency announced today.
“The closure is for required maintenance of the facility,” said Matt Petrofes, DHEC’s regional public health director for the area. “South Carolina Electric and Gas will be installing a new electrical transformer, which will result in the building having no electrical power on the afternoon of May 22.
Petrofes said the building is scheduled to reopen at 8:30 a.m.Tuesday, May 26, after the Memorial Day holiday.
