DHEC seeks input on revised food safety regulations

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental is seeking food retailers' and industry consultants' input on revised food safety regulations.

Four meetings are planned to discuss the revisions to Regulation 61-25, covering important topics such as food handling, push carts, barbeque pits, community festivals and pets in dining areas. The proposed changes bring South Carolina's food code closer to newer federal standards.
