DHEC Director Templeton to Address S.C. Water Resources Conference

COLUMBIA, S.C. - S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control Director Catherine Templeton will address the 2012 S.C. Water Resources Conference tomorrow, October 10, 2012, at Noon.

The conference (October 10 - 11) will be held at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, located at 1101 Lincoln Street in Columbia.

The conference is coordinated by Clemson University's Center for Watershed Excellence (www.clemson.edu/watershedcenter) in conjunction with a statewide planning committee. The purpose of the conference is to provide an integrated forum for discussion of water policies, research projects, and water management in order to prepare for and meet the growing challenge of providing water resources to sustain and enhance South Carolina's economy, while preserving our natural resources. The conference will bring together statewide academic, private, and public sectors - as the central goal of the Center for Watershed Excellence is working towards collaborative management of water resources across the state and the region. The previous conferences each attracted over 300 registered attendees and over 120 presenters.
