Pressley's Recycling, Inc.

Pressley's Recycling is located on approximately 60 acres at 9531 Charlotte Hwy in Indian Land, SC. The facility processes and recycles construction, demolition, metal, and e-waste, and sells a variety of recycled landscaping products and recycled construction waste products. The recycling center uses a concrete crusher system, including a concrete crusher, four (4) conveyors, and associated diesel engines, to recycle concrete from construction and demolition activities. The recycling center also uses a diesel-powered tub grinder to grind green wood waste into mulch and a diesel-powered horizontal grinder to grind clean wood, kiln-dried lumber and pallets.

- DHEC Presentation made at public meeting
August 7, 2012
On August 7, 2012, DHEC held a public meeting about the draft air quality operating permit for Pressley's Recycling Center. Staff from the Bureau of Air Quality presented information and answered questions on the draft air quality permit.
- Exemption Letter for Grinders
July 23, 2012
During its review, DHEC determined that the emissions from each grinder are less than 1 pound per hour; therefore, air quality regulations do not require the grinders to be permitted.
