Watershed Water Quality Management Strategy: Program Description

Watershed Water Quality Assessments (WWQA).

WWQA documents, prepared for all of the eight major basins in the state, describe a wealth of information about the basins, including: water chemistry information, biological monitoring information, physical characteristics, natural resources, growth potential, potential nonpoint source contributions, ground water concerns, and point source discharges. This information is presented through text and maps in these documents. The complete text from the documents can be downloaded below. Water Quality Data Appendices can be viewed on-line for WWQA published beginning in 2000. To get a copy of previous documents or appendices for previous documents, please contact the appropriate watershed manager. All documents are in pdf format. Maps and text for individual watersheds can also be viewed on-line: Savannah, Salkehatchie, Saluda, Edisto, Catawba, Santee, Pee Dee, Broad. Copies of these publications can be obtained from any of the watershed managers.
