DHEC is investigating the release of hazardous substances from the AVX Corporation's Myrtle Beach plant. The results of DHEC's ongoing investigation indicate that soil and groundwater is contaminated at the AVX facility, and that groundwater has migrated to other properties around the AVX facility.
