Charleston Neck Area Air Monitoring Study
As data from the samplers are verified (the sampler and analysis have been confirmed to be operating correctly), the concentrations will be posted in the chart (Charleston Neck graph).
Comparison of the saturation sampler results with the Federal Reference Method used for PM2.5 has shown that they measure concentration to be 2 to 3 micrograms per cubic meter higher and cannot be directly compared to the National Ambient Air Quality Standard. For this project, the differences between sites are most important, but the data will show if the project area tracks the Charleston area reference sites.
