Greenhouse Gas Emissions

EPA Tailoring Rule

DHEC has developed this webpage to assist you with implementation of this EPA rule. Besides providing basic GHG permitting guidance, this site will provide sample calculations, links to information about GHGs, contact information, and future updates. This site will continue to grow as more guidance is developed.

The EPA Tailoring Rule primarily uses CO2 equivalent (CO2e) emissions to represent the green house gases (GHGs) emitted by a source as one emission rate. Please use the information below to help calculate the emission rates for any sources at your facility.

The estimator below was created by DHEC to assist with generating a quick and simple emissions estimate only. It is not to be used for official applications, reporting or other correspondence.
