South Carolina Ground-level Ozone Forecast

Due to the health effects of ground-level ozone, DHEC provides the service of forecasting ozone concentrations to warn the public of unhealthy air and to encourage people to avoid exposure to unhealthy air and voluntarily reduce emissions. DHEC may declare an Ozone Action Day when ozone levels are forecast to reach unhealthy levels. On ozone action days, you can take simple steps to reduce the pollution that results in the formation of ground-level ozone.

This webpage is updated each day of the Ground-level Ozone Forecasting Season (April 1 - September 30) by 4:00 p.m. EDT for the following day.
