Registration Permitting Program

Registration permits are issued to sources where equipment similarities and simplicity remove the need for in-depth site-specific review. Additionally, these permits contain the same emission limits and monitoring requirements as the construction and operating permit for that source category. Therefore, a source that qualifies may elect to apply to BAQ for coverage under a registration permit in lieu of a construction and operating permit.

General permits issued for similar sources may require site-specific review, and BAQ shall grant the general permit to sources certifying qualification for and agreeing to the conditions and terms of the general permit.
