School Events Held on School Property (Concession Stands, Dances, Etc.)

Permits Needed

  • Concession stands for athletic events: You will need to apply for a S.C. Retail Food Establishment Permit.
  • Proms and dances: If you serve potentially hazardous foods, you will need a S.C. Retail Food Establishment Permit or the food must be catered by a Retail Food Establishment.
  • Fundraising meals or celebrations: You will need a S.C. Retail Food Establishment Permit. However, if your group is a charitable organization that sponsors and operates 12 or fewer such events on their own property each year, you will not need to get a permit.
