Interested members of the public and regulated community are invited to comment on the Departments proposal to submit an amended attainment demonstration for the Rock Hill Fort Mill Area Transportation Study (RFATS) Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) 8-hour ozone NAAQS non-attainment area as part of the Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill nonattainment area.
Due to admittance procedures at the DHEC Building, all visitors should enter through the Bull Street Entrance and register at the front desk. The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority offers public transportation to the DHEC building via its Route # 11. The Bureau of Air Quality also offers bike racks near the Bull Street Entrance.
The Public Hearing will commence at 10:00 a.m. Persons desiring to make oral comments at the hearing are asked to limit their statements to five minutes or less, and as a courtesy are asked to provide written copies of their presentation for inclusion into the record of the public hearing
Pursuant to 40 CFR 51.102, if no request for a public hearing is received by the close of the comment period (October 26, 2009), the hearing will be cancelled. If the public hearing is cancelled, the Department will notify the public at least one week prior to the scheduled hearing via the Scheduled Public Hearings link on the Air Quality Regulation Development webpage.
