Suggested Contracts for Application of Manure
on Land Not Owned by the Grower
When a farmer is going to apply manure on land that he does not own DHEC requires a contract between the farmer and the owner of land. This contract must show that the farmer has the right to use the land he does not own and who will be responsible for the application of the manure. While the Department will accept any appropriate contract that addresses these two issues, the Department has prepared contracts that we suggest a farmer use as the basis of their contract.
