Animal Drinking Water Wells - 1,750 feet

Ditches except site drainage:

which drain to waters of the state excluding ephemeral and intermittent streams - 100 feet
which drain to ephemeral or intermittent streams - 50 feet

Residence/ Property Line - 1,750 feet

Separation from another large swine facility with 1,000,000 pounds or more - 25 miles

Waters of the State including ephemeral and intermittent streams - 2,640 feet

Lagoons or Waste Storage Ponds

Wells

Ditches except site drainage

which drain to waters of state excluding ephemeral and intermittent streams - 100 feet
which drain to ephemeral or intermittent streams - 50 feet

Residences or Property lines - 1,750 feet

Waters of the State

Waters of the State excluding ephemeral and intermittent streams - 2,640 feet. However, if waters classified as ORW or Shellfish or waters are critical habitat of endangered species then 3,960 feet. In both cases, a minimum 100 foot wide water quality buffer must be provided.
