About Champions of the Environment
Champions of the Environment has been rewarding environmental action and awareness in South Carolina’s kindergarten through twelfth-grade students and teachers since 1993.
The goal of Champions of the Environment is to help students do their part for the environment. Champions of the Environment awards more than $25,000 to South Carolina students and teachers each year.
Champions of the Environment is supported by a public-private partnership. The Champions of the Environment Partnership consists of Eastman Chamical Company, International Paper, WCSC-TV, Charleston, WIS-TV, Columbia, and SC DHEC. The Environmental Education Association of South Carolina provides added support for Champions.
The Champions of the Environment Partnership is proud to help South Carolina’s youth protect and improve the natural world. You can do your part too! Find a solution to an environmental problem and carry out your solution. You might become a Champion of the Environment!
