Champions’ sponsors a competition for middle school youth known as the Environmental Awareness Competition (EAC). This event lets students show off their creativity and knowledge about the natural world. The Environmental Awareness Competition takes place each spring.

Sixth, seventh or eight grade students in a public, private or home-school setting in South Carolina may enter one or all four of the competition divisions.

- Public Service Announcement
- First place winner in each division receives a $300 savings bond.
- Second place winner in each division receives a $200 savings bond.
- Third place winner in each division receives a $100 savings bond.
- Winners also receive a certificate, medallion, and a Champions’ T-shirt.
