The Broad Basin incorporates 27 watersheds and some 2.5 million acres within the State of South Carolina (a portion of the basin resides in North Carolina). Within the Department's Broad Basin are the Enoree River Basin, the Tyger River Basin, and the Broad River Basin. The Broad Basin extends across the Piedmont region and includes a total of 4,691 stream miles and 18,533 acres of lake waters.
