The Edisto River Basin, located completely
within the State of South Carolina, incorporates 29 watersheds and some 2
million. The Edisto River Basin extends from the Sandhills region, through
the Upper and Lower Coastal Plain regions, to the Coastal Zone region.
There are approximately 2,775 stream miles and 20,288 acres of estuarine
areas in the basin.
