Flu in South Carolina

Find Flu Clinics

To get a flu vaccine, first check with your private healthcare provider. Many providers order vaccine supplies for their regular patients. If your healthcare provider cannot give you a flu vaccine, use these search tools to find a vaccine provider in your local area.

HealthMap Vaccine Finder

Many providers in local communities now provide flu vaccines to people with insurance coverage and those who have the ability to pay for their vaccine. You can find them using this search tool.

Search by zip code, city or state or click on the map to find flu vaccination sites.

Note: DHEC does not have oversight or regulatory control over non-DHEC vaccine clinics or their prices.

DHEC-Sponsored Flu Clinics

To find out when DHEC will be offering flu vaccines at your local public health clinic, use this search tool. Simply select your county.

Note: This year DHEC will continue to serve anyone who needs a flu vaccine, although some fees may apply. Next year (the 2013-2014 flu season), DHEC will focus its limited resources on people who are uninsured and underinsured and those who cannot receive a flu vaccine elsewhere. We ask that beginning in fall of 2013, people with Medicare or other health insurance coverage for the flu vaccine get their flu shot from a vaccine provider in their local community who can bill their insurance, rather than from their local public health clinic if possible.

If you have additional questions about the flu or flu vaccine, please call 1-800-27SHOTS (1-800-277-4687) or visit the CDC’s Seasonal Influenza website or Flu.gov.
