2008-2009 All-Health Team Award Ceremony
Ben Hoover of WIS-TV hosted the 2008-2009 annual award ceremony. SC-ETV Smart Cat and Linda Catoe got the audience up and moving with Move More Power breaks. Rashida Beach of Richland Northe East High School provided some musical etertainment. A presentation was given by Eat Smart Move More….SC, healthy eating and active living initiative and updates from two of last years’ annual award winners were given by DIVA, INC. and Blythewood High School.
Pauline Glenn-Springs Elementary School’s PGS Healthy Harvester project took the first place gold award and $5,000 from among eight youth based preventive health projects. The second place silver of $3,000 went to Pleasant Hill Middle School and third place bronze of $2,000 went to Darlington County School District.
