Diabetes Prevention & Control

For several years, the Diabetes Prevention and Control Program and the Division of Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention have been providing accredited (ACCME) continuing medical education opportunities for physicians and health care providers by co-sponsoring the Annual Diabetes/ Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention Winter Symposium. This program, attended by over 200 medical and health care professionals from across the state in 2009, is designed to review the latest evidence-based management initiatives for improving diabetes and cardiovascular care.
