Hypoglycemia Training
South Carolina’s School Nurse Program Advisory Committee developed these training tools for use by school nurses when training identified unlicensed assistive personnel to assist specific students with diabetes in the event of a hypoglycemic episode. These training tools have been reviewed and approved by SC DHEC. These documents are provided as guidelines. Each nurse using the training tools is responsible for ensuring its relevance to the specific needs of the students under her/his care.
