Hemophilia Program

Individuals with hemophilia who are eligible for the program may receive Factors VIII and IX blood clotting factor products and related supplies such as syringes and needles when ordered by a physician.

Children below the age of 21 may also be covered for professional services, hospitalization, emergency room care, clinic visits, etc. related to the hemophilia diagnosis through the Children's Rehabilitative Services program if eligible.

Eligibility
Residents of South Carolina who have a diagnosis of hemophilia are eligible for the program as follows:

  • Individuals with a gross family income at or below 250% of the federal poverty level are eligible for blood factor products and related supplies at no cost to the patient.

Services Not Covered
Adults 21 years of age or older are not covered for professional services, hospitalization, emergency room care and clinic visits.
