Regular Check-ups

After your baby has been born, regular check-ups with your baby's health care provider are a very important part of keeping your child healthy. See that your children visit their doctor or clinic regularly.

The following services are a part of your baby's regular check-up:

  • A complete head-to-toe physical, which includes lab tests, vision and hearing screening, dental screening and developmental screening;
  • Healthy history;
  • Nutrition, safety, child care and other education; and
  • Shots (immunizations).

Recommended Regular Check-up Visit Schedule

  • During the first month
  • 2 months
  • 4 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months
  • 12 months
  • 15 months
  • 18 months
  • 2 years
  • 3 years
  • 4 years
  • 5 years
  • 6 years
  • After 6 years, every two years
