Family Planning (Women, Men and Teens Health Services)
For women: Any woman of childbearing age is eligible to receive Family Planning Services. Clients who desire services are charged according to a sliding scale fee based on their income and family size. Medicaid is billed for eligible recipients including clients who quality for the Medicaid Waiver. Services for women include:
- Reproductive health counseling and education
- Risk reduction counseling and education
- Complete gynecological exam
- Instruction in methods of contraception
- Immunizations
- Treatment and/or referral for identified problems.
For men: Men are eligible for the Medicaid program which covers:
- Annual physical exam
- Family planning counseling
- Gonorrhea and Chlamydia STD testing.
For teens: The Point Teen Health Centers are confidential, safe and friendly places for teens to get the help they need. Services for teens are free or low cost. The Point Teen Health Centers provide:
- Education about abstinence
- Birth control methods
- Emergency contraception
- Pregnancy testing
- Sexually transmitted infection (STD) screening.
