Home Health Care Services

Home Health VisitHome Health Care Services has provided care to the citizens of Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, and Orangeburg Counties since 1966. The services provide quality health care to patients in their homes. The care helps patients reach or maintain their optimal health condition. Because of this program, terimally ill patients can be released from the hospital earlier or nursing home care can be delayed.

Home Health Care Services are available to people of all ages who are in need of skilled care.  When requesting services, you need a physician’s order and a caregiver in the home.  While care of a patient is the primary focus, services are family-centered.  Our team of skilled professionals include:

  • Skilled Nursing,
  • Physical Therapy,
  • Home Health Aide,
  • Medical Social Worker,
  • Nutrition Counseling by Registered Dietician, and
  • Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME)

Our services are licensed and certified with the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and accredited by Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP).

Fees:
Patients with no insurance or health care coverage will be billed based on their ability to pay.  In order for Medicare and Medicaid to pay for home care, patients must be homebound.

Private duty aides or sitters are not covered under DHEC Home Health Services.

Pay sources include Medicaid, Medicaid HMO, Medicare, Medicare Advantage Programs, Veterans Administration, Private Insurance, and Self-Pay.
