Adult Services
This program is for adults over the age of 18 years with a confirm diagnosis of sickle cell disease. The program provides care coordination and may provide some financial assistance for specialist visits and some medications. Please call (843) 792-3561 for more information and to make a referral.
Any woman of childbearing age is eligible to receive Family Planning Services. Clients who desire services are charged according to a sliding scale fee based on their income and family size. Medicaid is billed for eligible recipients including clients who quality for the Medicaid Waiver. Women of any age who are below 100% of the Federal poverty guidelines, and are not eligible for Medicaid, are not charged for family planning services.
Services are provided solely on a voluntary basis, without regard to religion, race, color, national origin, creed, handicap, sex, number of pregnancies, national status, age or contraceptive preference.
We offer comprehensive services to help plan future families. As session includes a physical exam, pregnancy testing and contraceptives if desired.

We provide routine childhood immunizations at a public health clinic in each county. We also offer adult vaccinations for flu, pneumonia, tetanus, diptheria, and pertussis (Tdap).
You can get your vaccinations at our locations, through your family physician or through your child's pediatrician.

We can provide tests and treatment for diseases spread through sexual activity, including tests and information about HIV.

Our tuberculosis program is committed to providing services to any individual in South Carolina who has, or is suspected of having, the TB disease or infection. Medicaid will be billed for eligible recipients.

Region 7 Public Health Office offers WIC services at all county Health Department sites.
The WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program is designed to offer a nutrition health assessment, nutrition and breast feeding education, health referrals, along with supplemental nutritious foods. The program is available to pregnant women, women who have just had a baby, and children from birth to age 5 who are income and nutritionally eligible.
