Any child age 0-3 who has developmental delays or suspected developmental delays can be referred. The health care provider, parents or guardian can submit a referral form or contact the BabyNet office by calling (843) 792-4373 in Charleston OR 1-800-922-1107.

Region 7 Public Health Office has a dental health education program. In addition to education about oral health, we coordinate dental screenings to Title I elementary and middle schools in Charleston County. For more information about our dental health education program, call (843) 746-3864.

We offer home visits to help a family better address health and development issues under the Charleston County and Berkeley County 1st Steps programs. Our staff looks at growth, developmental, and infant stimulation concerns that may affect a child from learning later in life. Call us at (843) 746-1580 for more information.
We provide routine childhood immunizations at a public health clinic in each county. We also offer adult vaccinations for flu and pneumonia.
You can get your vaccinations at our locations, through your family physician or through your child's pediatrician.

A nurse visits with you and your new infant to make sure that both of you are in good health. The visit includes an evaluation of the environment, the condition of the new mother, and a physical examination of the newborn infant. The nurse offers education, counseling and referrals based on the evaluation. This visit is a benefit offered by Medicaid insurance.

Region 7 Public Health Office offers WIC services at all county Health Department sites.
The WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program is designed to offer a nutrition health assessment, nutrition and breast feeding education, health referrals, along with supplemental nutritious foods. The program is available to pregnant women, women who have just had a baby, and children from birth to age 5 who are income and nutritionally eligible.
