I. TITLE: Administrative Orders, Consent Orders, and Sanction Letters issued by HEALTH REGULATION (HR).

II. SUBJECT: Sanctions completed during the period February 1, 2011, through February 28, 2011.

III. FACT: For the period February 1, 2011 through February 28, 2011, Health Regulation issued one (1) Consent Orders with total penalties of $6,000.

IV. ANALYSIS:

1. 1.  Trident Medical Center, 9330 Medical Plaza Drive, Charleston, S.C. 29406.   Under a Consent Order executed February 11, 2011, the facility paid a monetary penalty of $6,000.  The facility was found to have violated Regulation 61-15, Certification of Need for Health Facilities and Services, for failure to submit monthly progress reports.

   Previous Sanctions: In December 2010, Trident Medical paid the Department a civil penalty of $3,000 for failure to submit monthly progress reports.
