DHEC’s statewide Family Planning program provides confidential reproductive health care services, counseling and education to teens by caring professionals. Some of the many services Family Planning provides are:

  • Birth control methods available on site
  • Up to a year's supply of birth control
  • Emergency contraception available on site
  • Pregnancy testing
  • STI screening
  • Instruction in abstinence

What is "The Point?"

The Point teen centers are confidential, safe and friendly places for teens - females and males - to get the help they need.

At The Point, you can get a range of services, including:

  • All types of contraception
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Sexually transmitted infections testing

All services are free or low cost.

Section 1008 of the Federal Title X regulations strictly prohibits the use of any appropriated funds in any program where abortion is provided as a method of birth control. No abortion services or activities are provided or paid for by DHEC.
