Electronics

Electronics, household equipment (televisions, computers, computer monitors, printers and other electronic equipment) and ALL fluorescent bulbs - from City of Columbia residents ONLY - can be recycled at the Public Works facility at 2910 Colonial DrivEast Items can be dropped off between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Telephone Book Recycling

Telephone Books 

City of Columbia residents can recycle their telephone books year round by simply placing them in their curbside recycling containers. They can also recycle telephone books at both of the drop-sites listed below.

Unstaffed Drop-Off Sites 

  • 2600 Bull Street, behind the Department of Mental Health and DHEC buildings
  • Vista, off Lady Street behind M Vista (corner of Washington and Wayne Streets)

NOTE: All material is taken commingled at Drop-Off sites as well.
