An organization or facility may become a member of the South Carolina Environmental Excellence Program (SCEEP) providing the information in the New Member Application and signed application form.
The Advisory Committee meets once per quarter. Applications should be received no later than:
- February 10
- May 10
- August 10
- November 10
Application Review Process
Once the application is received, a cursory review is completed by the SCEEP Program Coordinator to make sure the application is complete and a DHEC compliance review is conducted. The SCEEP Advisory Committee will then review the application and may, at its discretion, request additional information or a site visit as part of the review process. The applicant will be notified as promptly as possible with results of the review.
Membership is renewable every three years. Members must submit a Renewal Application and signed form. The Advisory Committee is responsible for ensuring that the members are making continuous improvements towards their stated goals and objectives. Should the membership expire and no renewal application is received, the facility will need to reapply for membership.
*Note: An applicant or facility may not be eligible to participate in the program if there has been a pattern of permit exceedances, notices of violation, fines, civil penalties, and/or criminal investigations that indicates a lack of commitment to continuously improving environmental performance. An evaluation of the severity of violations or deficiencies will be done on a case-by-case basis to determine membership into the program.
