Champions of the Environment

Champions of the Environment is an annual grant program that awards K-12th grade students and teachers up to $2,500 to carry out environmental action and awareness projects in their schools and communities.

Champions will not be accepting grant award applications for the 2020-2021 school year. Instead we will support educators through virtual environmental education resources and a webinar in October.

Champions will collaborate with the Environmental Education Association of South Carolina (EEASC) to present the webinar. We’ll have breakout rooms for every grade level with speakers describing how to adapt soil quality activities in a classroom setting or online. Participants will receive lesson plans and classroom supplies to share the activities with their students.

Check the Champions and EEASC websites in the next few weeks for webinar date and registration.
