- Antifreeze: No additional fluids mixed
- Appliances and Scrap Metal: All appliances with metal parts including stoves, washers, dryers, bicycles, refrigerators, grills, clothes hangers, steel cans, and pots; NO electronics
- Batteries, lead-acid: Used automotive, marine, and lawn mower.
- Batteries, rechargeable: Batteries from small electronics; NO alkaline batteries.
- Cardboard: Clean and dry, NO stryrofoam or plastic.
- Cooking Oil: Lard is NOT accepted.
- Electronics: Accept at the donation boxes; only flat screen televisions and monitors (no CRT's) please see attendants with questions.
- Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids
- Glass: Clear, green, and brown glass bottles and jars are accepted; NO mirrors, light bulbs, window panes, or tempered glass
- Ink Cartridges: This includes toners.
- Mixed Paper: Copy paper, packing paper, paper bags, paperback books, cereal-type boxes and junk mail; NO paper towels or food wrappings.
- Newspapers: Dry newspapers; NO paper towels or food wrappings.
- Oil: Motor oil, transmission fluid, hydraulic fluid only.
- Used Motor Oil Filters and Bottles
- Plastic: Rinsed plastic beverage bottles, jars, and jugs. Look for the recycling arrows (with a #1 through #7) on the bottom of these containers.
- Textiles: Clean clothes accepted at the donation boxes.
- Tires, Passenger: Passenger vehicle tires, lawn-mower and bicycle tires; NO tractor trailer and farm tires. LIMIT of 4 tires per person per year.

NOTICE: All Residential Sanitation Customers Within The City Limits
In an effort to keep our garbage collection fees as low as possible, the City of Seneca is going to stop picking up curbside recycling items starting Monday July 1st, 2013. For your benefit we have setup a drop-off site for recyclable items at our office on 298 East South 1st Street. Our office hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Friday. All other curbside services will remain the same. Please call 864-885-2750 with any questions.
