Introduction:
The Enforcement Section ensures compliance with applicable Federal and State regulatory requirements by the application of tools intended to return violating entities to compliance and provide an effective deterrent for future non-compliance. The Enforcement Section addresses non-compliance at minor and major stationary sources, MACT sources, asbestos projects, and open burning sites.

Objectives of the Enforcement Section:
- Return a violator to full compliance in a timely manner
- Act as a deterrent against future non-compliance
- Ensure that enforcement actions are fair, consistent, communicated clearly, documented, defensible, and timely
- Combine with compliance assistance to achieve, maintain, and enhance compliance
