DHEC will hold a public meeting on March 30, 2022 at 6:30 pm to discuss the next phase of environmental cleanup for the Congaree River Project Site. Anyone can join the meeting using a phone or computer. The meeting will be held virtually using an online platform to provide interested persons the opportunity to participate remotely. At this meeting, DHEC will provide new information and a projected start date for the cleanup of tar-like material located downstream of the Gervais Street Bridge.   

Anyone who plans to participate in the public hearing should complete the registration form. The meeting will open at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Please come back to this page at that time for information on how to join the meeting by phone or by computer.
