DHEC’s Bureau of Water will hold a virtual public hearing on August 17, 2021 at 6:30 PM to accept oral comments on the reissuance of a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for the Dominion Energy Wateree Station. 

An informational public meeting will be held 30 minutes prior to the hearing (6:00 - 6:30 pm) to share information and answer questions. Anyone who plans to join the virtual public hearing should complete the registration form. The link and call-in information to join the meeting and hearing will be posted on this page the day of the hearing.  

Interested persons may also view the virtual meeting and hearing at the following viewing location – Eastover Town Hall – 624 Main Street | Eastover, SC 29044. Individuals at the viewing location will have the ability to participate by asking questions or making comments. Due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements, a limited number of persons can participate in the virtual hearing at Eastover Town Hall.  All 46 counties in South Carolina are areas of substantial or high transmission of COVID-19.  The CDC and DHEC recommend that everyone (including fully vaccinated individuals) wear a mask in public indoor settings to help prevent spread of the Delta variant and protect others.  Those with at-home internet access are strongly encouraged to participate from their home or other appropriate location. Those wishing to participate may also join the meeting via telephone.
